Name: Subhyracodon
Geologic Age: Miocene/Oligocene
Stratigraphic detail: Brule formation
Location: South Dakota
Comments: This is an exceptional find! This jaw was found with the associated tusk laying next to it.. There have been crack repairs but no restoration to speak of.. just a couple of tiny spots. This jaw measures a whopping 19" long without the tusk.. if you set the tusk into the remaining socket it extends the length to 22.75" long. The teeth are beautiful on this specimen. This jaw is very large for the species as is the tusk.. HUGE!!Subhyracodon Jaw 1 - $1500.00
