Name: Triceratops
Geologic Age:
Cretaceous
Stratigraphic detail:
Hell Creek Formation
Location:
Garfield County,
Montana
Description:
This beautiful Triceratops Skull would make a wonderful addition to a Museums Dinosaur Hall, or it could be a center-piece for a private collection.  Measuring in at over 7 feet long (7' 2") this is an impressive skull!  The bone is a nice chocolate brown.  The bone preservation is very nice and solid.  This specimen was approx. 75% - 80% complete when found.   It has been restored to its full splendor and is an amazing sight to see in person.   The skull is mounted on a custom-made stand that allows it to be rolled into position and then adjusted up or down to suit the surroundings.  The rollers can then be easily removed to allow for permanent display in its new location.   I was just notified of the skulls  completion and I will be receiving more photos of this specimen very soon and will post them as soon as they get to me.   I would be willing to deliver this specimen personally and help with setting it up if the buyer is from the lower 48 States.  Please contact me with any questions:   merv@indiana9fossils.com
