Comments: This is a sloth claw that is still inside the intact claw sheath.. to find something like this is amazingly rare!! The claw of the living sloth would have retracted into the sheath at rest, but then the claw would have come out of the sheath much like a modern cats claw does, when walking or when needed. With the exception of just a small area of patching done to the top of the sheath, this specimen is as found.. no other repairs or restoration. It has been stabilized and is quite solid.. The overall length of the specimen is approx. 7.75" long. The claw itself measures approx. 5.5" long inside the sheath. Nice specimen at a "bargain price"!Eremotherium Sloth Claw - $1750.00
