Name: Mammut americanum
Geologic Age: Pleistocene
Stratigraphic detail:  River find
Location: Taylor
Co. FL
Comments:  This is a large jaw section with one very nice 7" long tooth still embedded in the jaw.  It has not been out of the jaw or glued back in.  The bone is in excellent condition, with one crack repair.  Both are very solid and heavily mineralized...  This gorgeous specimen has been mounted on a custom made (removable) wooden base stand with solid brass mounts.  The Jaw measures approx. 19" long.  This is a very attractive fossil that will look good in ANY collection!
