Name:  Camel  Palaeolama mirifica
Geologic Age: Pleistocene
Location: Alachua Co. Florida
Comments: This is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind set of jaws from an Ice Age Camel.  The jaws are nearly complete with crack repairs but no restoration.  Repairs are limited to just glue work.  None of the teeth that are present have been out of the jaws.. no transplants..  This set of jaws was found in the Santa Fe River.  They are very well mineralized.. the bone rings when tapped with a pin..  Having been found in a river, these jaws are in phenomenal shape.. even the thin rear of the jaws are complete.  There is just  tiny tip missing from the top of one side..  There has been a wooden dowel rod glued between the jaws to provide stability.. but it could be easily removed if you chose to do so... This is without a doubt, the bets set of jaws I've ever seen from an Ice Age Camel... this is a RARE OPPORTUNITY to obtain a RARE set of jaws.. You will most likely never be able to obtain anything comparable to this set!!  The jaws measure approx. 13" long x 6" wide x 6 1/4" tall.

Name:  Poebrotherium sp.
Geologic Age: Oligocene
Location: White River Formation, Wyoming
Comments: This is a very nice camel skull from the Badlands... The Skull measures 6 1/2" long x 2" wide and stands 4" tall.  The base has been cut flat so the skull stands on it's own.  There are 3 Cervical Vertebrae that are still attached to the skull...  This is from an OLD COLLECTION and is OLD PREP with little to no discernable restoration or reconstruction... even the front teeth are real...  There is some light compression and slight sideways distortion.. otherwise this is a very nice looking skull..  Camel Skulls are some of the most fragile and thus the most rare fossils from the Oligocene.

Camel Skull 1  Price $1150.00
