Name:  Archaeotherium ingens
Geologic Age: Oligocene
Stratigraphic detail:  Brule Formation, White River Badlands Group
Location: Niobrara County, Wyoming
Comments: This is a very nice lower jaw from an adult Archaeotherium, sometimes referred to as "The Pig From Hell".  This specimen has had crack repairs, but no restoration.  The teeth are beautiful, with most of them showing nice wear patterns from chewing and from opposing teeth from the upper jaw rubbing against the lower teeth.  There has been a pin attached to both sides of the jaw to give it stability.  This specimen is very solid and travels with no problems..  They don't come much nicer than this, and it's all original and the same animal.
