Scotland Stromatolite

Take a look at these cut and polished specimens of the earliest know macrofossils in the fossil record.  Please bear in mind that these are very difficult to photograph, and that there may be some light shadowing present in the photo's.

Description:    Fossil Stromatolites are colonies of Algae that are the earliest known living organisms in the fossil record.  These specimens have been cut and polished to bring out the exquisite beauty that they posess. These  50 specimens offered by indiana9 represent 30% of all known remaining specimens from this location!  Each specimen measures approx. 1/2" - 3/4" and is encapsulated in a Gem Jar.  VERY RARE STROMATOLITE!!!
