 Geologic Age: Upper Jurassic
Location: Near Boulogne, France
Comments: This is a very nice single Starfish Plate from a CLOSED LOCATION in France.  There are 2 layers in which these starfish are found.  One of the layers is a very hard layer, very solid matrix and the other layer is actually more like mud pockets.  Starfish are found in both layers.  This specimen is from the hard, solid layer.   This is a very nice starfish!!   It measures 6" wide from arm tip to arm tip.   This is a must have plate for a true starfish collector!

Name: Ophiopinna elegansis
 Geologic Age: Middle Jurassic
Location: La Voulte-sur-Rhone, France
Comments: This is a gorgeous, large slab of RARE Brittle Stars from the Jurassic of France.  The location where this plate came from has been CLOSED for many years now.. this specimen came from an old collection out of Germany.. There are many, many complete specimens present ranging from 1/4" wide to 2" wide.   There are specimens present on BOTH sides of this plate!   You'd be hard-pressed to find a plate like this anywhere else on the web!  The plate measures approx. 8.5" x 12" in size.
