Devonian Ostracods Microfossils

Each specimen is mounted in a micropalaeontology well-slide and housed in an aluminum slip case with glass cover slide.
This packaging makes the fossils a little more expensive than I  would normally charge, but I consider it acceptable
because of the easier access and greater protection afforded the specimen. Each of these specimens measures approx. ~1 mm - ~2 mm
I have several specimens of each type available.  Photos are representative of the specimen you will receive.

HARAGAN FORMATION - LOWER DEVONIAN

These specimens were all obtained from matrix collected at the White Mound site (the type locality for the Haragan Formation) in the
1970's. These excellently preserved specimens come from the richest ostracod bed of the Haragan.

SILICA SHALE - MIDDLE DEVONIAN

These specimens were also collected in the 1970's from one of the Silica Shale quarries near Junction, Ohio. The Silica Shale bears the
most diverse middle Devonian ostracod fauna in the world. The preservation is excellent and these are very worthwhile specimens.
