Size of Specimen: Approx. 13/16" wide. The white specks in the photo are actually the light reflecting off of the metallic flakes.

Name: Odessa IA Coarse Iron Meteorite
When Found: 1921
Where Found: Ector County, Texas
Facts on Specimen: Found 1921, Ector County, Texas. Recovered weight 2000 kg. This is the meteorite which made the famous Odessa Meteorite Crater. The meteorite is an ancient fall (20,000 years or more) because the
degree of erosion of the impact crater is considerable. Indeed, the crater is hardly recognizable from the
ground.

Where Found: Mohave County, Arizona
Facts on Specimen: Found November 25, 1995, Mohave County, Arizona. Recovered weight ~ 70kg. To date over 1500 stones have been found associated with this fall. Most are weathered and some have to be dug from just under
the surface. The strew field is over 130 km in area making this one of the largest on record. Despite the number of stones found, Gold Basin meteorites are hard to find in the strew field. The white specks in the photo are actually the light reflecting off of the metallic flakes which are present in ALL the specimens...

Name: NWA 869 Meteorite L5 Chondrite
When Found: Summer 2000
Where Found: Sahara Desert, North West Africa
Facts on Specimen: 10.4 Grams This is a great quality and very abundant fall found in the summer of 2000. Over 1000kg are known and this meteorite is just packed with inclusions, and depending on which part of the meteorite is
tested gives a classification of L3.8 to L6! There is such a variety of inclusions that it has made classification difficult. Dark and light clasts, chondrules, armored chondrules, shock veins and more have been found in NWA869. In addition, an important point to note is that this meteorite is very stable and can be easily displayed.
