Description: This is a very nice specimen! The overall size of the block is approx. 5.5" x 5.5"... Much of the body has the soft tissue preserved.. the skull is very nice with nice, sharp teeth present. Look at the photos.. Fossils from the Messel are EXTREMELY RARE to obtain now.. the area has been long closed to commercial collecting and is only being studied by the academics..
