Location: Kemmerer, WyomingDescription: This lovely plate measures approx. 18" x 38" in size. This plate is from the split-fish layer, but just above the 18" layer of the Green River Formation. The preservation of the split-fish from the horizon just above the 18" capstone is far superior to the upper layers of the Green River formation. These fish have had no paint or other enhancements done to them. Each and every bone, gill plate, eye orbit, fin and scales are original as found. Wonderful Mass-Mortality plate with over 20 fish present. This lovely specimen has been backed with wood and has a very solid and stable wire hanger affixed so that this is ready to hang in your den or office. Excellent eye appeal that is much better in person.. guaranteed!
