The Archer-fish was and is an amazing fish.. in order to catch it's prey, which were insects sitting on low hanging branches above the water, it would squirt water at them and knock them off the branch.. the slurp them up. The mouth has a built in groove that channels the water like a squirt gun.

Description: INCREDIBLY RARE FISH SKULL!!! This skull is amazingly well preserved and intact. This specimen measures approx. 5 1/4" long x 3 1/2" wide x 3 3/8" tall. There has been NO repairs and NO restoration at all on this specimen.. 100% natural as found. Even the bottom hard pallet is intact and attached!! Excellent study specimen! This is from my Personal Collection.
