Name:  Unidentified Species
Geologic Age: Late Cretaceous
Location:  Taouz, Morocco North Africa
Comments:  This is an Unidentified Species of Echinoid that at first glance appeared to be a Tetragramma.. but upon closer examination I discovered that it was totally different.  This unknown species has an alternating pattern of 2 rows of spines/plates, then 1 row of spines/plates but the number of spines and the shape of the plates is completely different than the Tetragramma.. I can't find another one like this on my web searches.. a NEW Species perhaps??  This specimen measures 1 5/16" wide.

Morocco Echinoid 11 Price $60.00
