Geologic Age: Late Cretaceous
Location: Xixia Basin, Henan Province, China
Comments: This is an UNKNOWN SPECIES of Sauropod Egg. The shell texture is very different from Hadrosaur Eggs found in the same region. This specimen was found in MUCH OLDER LAYERS of the formation. The shell is much thinner and the few eggs that were found in this area are PINK in color as opposed to the gray/black eggs that are found higher up in the formation.
