Name:  Platecarpus coryphaeus
Geologic Age: Cretaceous
Stratigraphic detail:
Niobrara Formation, Smoky Hill Chalk
Location:
Gove County, Kansas

Description:
This is a lower jaw from a LARGE ADULT specimen!  It measures approx. 11" long and contains 10 gorgeous teeth, all in the original position.  This specimen is entirely 100% original with no restoration.  You can see the roots of the teeth on the back side of the plate.. I'm glad they left all of the teeth in the matrix like this.. it displays incredibly well!!   It will come in the Riker Mount as shown.    This is from my Personal Collection.
