Name: Oviraptor Dinosaur Egg
Geologic Age: Late Cretaceous
Stratigraphic detail: Nanxiong Formation
Location: Guangdong Province, China
Size: Approx. 8" long
Comments: Great compressed egg that retains it's oval shape. This egg is attached to a mound of matrix. Of the exposed egg, there appears to be at least 95% +/- of the original shell intact. It appears that some of the shell may have come off and been glued back onto the egg, which is typical for these eggs. Doubtful that this egg hatched. It may have been stepped on by another Dinosaur?

Name: Oviraptor Dinosaur Egg
Geologic Age: Late Cretaceous
Stratigraphic detail: Nanxiong Formation
Location: Guangdong Province, China
Size: Approx. 7" long
Comments: Incredibly well preserved egg that retains approx. 90% +/- of it's exposed shell. The underside of this egg is missing and the end appears to have been crushed and rolled under. This egg is superior to the vast majority of eggs that you see on the market, and priced well below those inferior specimens. There is a bit of matrix still present on the specimen that could be removed with air abrasives to expose more of the jet black shell, but I can't do prep work any longer, so it's up to you to decide if you want to have it done.It appears that some of the shell may have come off and been glued back onto the egg, which is typical for these eggs. Great specimen that would fit in ANY collection.
