Stegosaurus

Stegosaurus is a highly recognized dinosaur. This quadrupedal dinosaur although well armored has a kind of elegant grace. The spikes on it's tail and plates which run the length of it's spine are the subject of much speculation. Although it is mostly agreed that the tail spikes would have served a defense function, theories on the plates propose everything from a defensive mechanism to a mating signal.
