Comments: This is a very cool and very rare display
specimen! You're looking at a 3 foot long Hypacrosaurus Tail! This is
the tip of the tail. What makes this tail rare, is the fact that not
only were the bones found associated, but this tail is pathological.
This dinosaur had a rare case of SPINA BIFIDA OCCULTA!! In spina bifida
occulta, the vertebrae do not form the neural canal completely and remain
open, which fails to completely enclose the spinal cord leaving it with no
protection.. In addition, there appears to be a bite mark present on one
of the
vertebrae. Each vertebrae has been prepped clean and a custom-made stand
holds all in alignment. This is the perfect display piece for your
mantle-top or book-case.
