Name: Asaphocrinus ornatus with Caryocrinites ornatus
Geologic Age: Middle Silurian
Stratigraphic detail: Rochester Shale  Formation
Location: Middleport, New York
Comments: Very nice mortality plate that measures approx. 5.25" x 7.75".  This plate has 2 RARE Asaphocrinus crinoids present as well as several brachiopods and trilobite pygidums PLUS a Caryocrinites Cystoid with approx. 1" of stem still attached and ALSO 2 of the feeding arms still attached!!!  There are 2 RARE Asaphocrinus present and each has a stem attached... the larger specimen has 2.75" of stem and the smaller specimen has 1/2" of stem.  The larger of the specimens had "popped off" during preparation and was reapplied.  Killer display specimen!!!

Comments: Very nice mortality plate that measures approx. 4.25" x 5.75".  This plate has the remains of 3 specimens present!  Each crown measures approx. 1" long and 2 of the 3 has approx. 1/4" of stem still attached.  Nice plate.  RARE crinoids!
