The Araucaria alvarezi pinecones extremely rare to find.. and are even harder to find with nice definition. At the time of the volcanic eruptions, these cones were tumbled in the river and ash which helps to explain why the outside of these cones are typically worn smooth. Most of these cones are the exception to that rule.. the inside seed definition is also way above average from what is usually found inside these cones. Each of these cones was hand picked and is better than you will most likely find anyplace else.. IF you can even find these cones being offered...
Over the past several years the South American Government began a crack-down on the exportation of fossils from their country.
