Name: Waptia fieldensis
Geologic Age: Cambrian
Stratigraphic detail: Burgess Shale
Location: Canada
Description: Coming from an OLD COLLECTION.. this is a museum quality specimen of this spectacular species preserved in a rare "curled" position. The photos do not do the specimen justice at all - it is much better in person. It shows all of the soft tissues in fine preservation, an eye and 1 antennae are visible, all the gill braches are visible - the other eye & antennae would be hidden in the matrix and too difficult to get out.
