Missouri Archimedes

Archimedes was a corkscrew-shaped colonial genus of bryozoan named for the ancient Greek Archimedes, who invented the water screw (the bryozoan looks like the water screw). The marine bryozoan Archimedes were tubular-shaped zooids with calcified walls.
