UNUSUAL BRYOZOA!! The specimens we are offering were collected and prepared by the same collector/preparator. He only has collected a handful of these each year, and I had the good fortune to purchase them from him. There was several hours of prep time that went into each of these bryozoa. Absolutely beautiful specimens that at first glance remind you of a nice starfish. What you are actually looking at , is the bottom of the structure. Each ray or arm, grew straight up, one cell thick, and the bryozoans lived in the small pores you can see with a microscope. The contrast between the white specimen on the red/brown matrix is stunning!
