Comments: This is a RARE FIND!! In addition to the partial remipes that is spread throughout the plate there is a big coxa from a THE PREDATOR of the Silurian... the Pterygotus!! With sharp shark-like teeth these predators would eat anything it wanted to, including other smaller eurypterids. It's quite possible that the scattered remains present on this plate are here as a direct result of being attacked and torn apart by this predator! Complete specimens of Pterygotus are EXTREMELY RARE and almost unheard of!!
