Geologic Age: Lower Permian 
Location: Odenheim, Rhineland-Pfalz, Southwest Germany
Comments:  This is a very scarce type of Amphibian from the Permian of Germany... although they appear similar to their relatives the branchiosaurs and apateons this type has a much wider head.  There are other subtle differences that were explained to me but I've lost my notes!  This specimen has above average preservation with very good details.  There is a 2nd skull partially exposed on this plate.. see last photo.
