Name:     Placenticeras meeki
Geologic Age:     Late Cretaceous
Stratigraphic detail:   Fox Hills
Location:     South Dakota
Comments:  This is a GORGEOUS ammonite that is one of the BEST that I have ever seen!  Notice ALL of the sutures that are present over the entire specimen.  Complete down to the inner whirls as well as the opening to the living chamber!  Specimen measures over 7 inches wide.  There is an oyster attached to the shell as an added bonus.  If you have been looking for a wonderful display specimen from South Dakota.. this is it!
