Name: Eparietites sp.
Geologic Age: Jurassic
Stratigraphic detail: Froddingham Ironstone quarry of Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England
Comments: Another  RARE AMMONITE that has
stunning white calcite replacement and gorgeous, sharp suture lines.  This specimen measures 8" across and is approx. 2 1/2" thick.  This specimen, like virtually all of the U.K. Ammonites, has been prepped on one side only.  Typically this is due to the fact that one side is usually damaged during the finding process and is not a candidate for further preparation.. THIS specimen COULD be prepped on the back side, as it still has the original shell attached as well as some matrix over that... so this one could be further prepped and polished if one were so inclined.

United Kingdom Eparietites sp. Ammonite 2  $1200.00

Name: Eparietites sp.
Geologic Age: Jurassic
Stratigraphic detail: Froddingham Ironstone quarry of Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England
Comments: This wonderful RARE AMMONITE that has
stunning calcite replacement and smooth ribbing. It has been painstakingly prepared and polished to an extremely high standard.  The back side of this ammonite, like virtually ALL of the Eparietites has not been prepared.. when these ammonites are found and exposed they are typically damaged.. so they are prepped from the backside so that the undamaged, true beauty of these ammonites can be exposed.  The Ammonite measures 8" across. A truly museum grade example of one of the worlds most sought after Ammonites.  SHARP keel!!!
