Comments: This is a big, mass mortality plate of Dactylioceras Ammonites. The site where these plates were collected is now closed to collecting. The Dac plates lie under a layer of peat which secretes acids through the ammonite zone which preps the ammonites naturally. This plate measures approx. 14 x 7 x 2.5 inches in a rectangular shape.. The ammonites lay in layers and layers on top of each other...
