Name: Muensteroceras parallelumGeologic Age: Mississippian
Stratigraphic detail: Borden GroupLocation: Rockford, Indiana
Comments: Offered here is the best and last specimen of an extremely rare ammonite from the collection of Maggie Kahrs that I have. This ammonite was found approximately 40 years ago in a small river outcrop in Indiana that was quickly collected out. Approximately 75 ammonites were collected in that outcrop and the majority of them were in Maggie's collection. She donated a number of the ammonites to local museums and the best ones she kept in her personal collection. Her estate auction was last year and indiana9fossils were able to purchase her best specimens. This specimen is the best one she had. It measures 1 3/8" wide and shows outstanding growth sutures. These are not the most aesthetic specimens offered for sale, but they are certainly some of the rarest.Muensteroceras Ammonite 1 $175.00
