Ammonites are a larger group particularly abundant in the late Paleozoic and Mesozoic. Most have tightly coiled shells, and many are ornamented with ribs, bumps and spines. Most have thick shells and strong ornamentation. The sutures of most ammonites are very complexly folded on both the lobes and saddles.
We have a wide variety of ammonites from all over the world. Just click on the geographic location you would like to see ammonites from. Enjoy!
